The Low-Income Energy Assistance Program [LIEAP] is a federally funded program administered by the Montana Department of Human Services and is designed to assist eligible Montanans with winter home heating costs. LIEAP accepts applications from November 1 through April 30 of each year.
LIEAP provides cash assistance to help hard working Montana families and individuals pay winter home heating costs. Other benefits provided by LIEAP include repair or replacement of a home’s primary heating system such as a furnace, as well as improvements to the energy efficiency in a home.
